Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy Voicetal, LLC, dba Mission Tapes (MT), is committed to your privacy. This Privacy Policy (Policy) relates to information concerning all products, services, and websites offered or provided by MT or any of our subsidiaries or affiliated companies. Our Policy includes obeying all laws and regulations in the United States that relate to any use or disclosure by us of information we obtain from you. Unless an exception is noted in this Policy, we will not trade, sell, or disclose to any third party any PII (as defined below) without your consent and we will not disclose or make available any PII to any third parties seeking to market non-MT products without your consent. This Policy explains how we collect and use information (1) from customers who use MT services and products (Customers) and (2) from visitors to our web sites and from potential customers who have communicated or interacted with MT (Visitors). This Policy applies to both the offering of MT products and MT online and offline services. Collection of Information MT will collect personally identifiable information including but not limited to name, telephone number, physical address, e-mail address, credit card information, and other personal information (collectively, PII) from Customers in connection with the provision or marketing of MT products and services. MT may collect PII from Visitors in connection with any visit to our websites, any communication about our products and services, or other transactions or communications with MT. MT may also collect information that is not personally identifiable regarding usage of our services or our website (Non-PII) from Customers and Visitors. Non-PII may include website pages viewed, time spent using certain services, demographic data, cookies, and other information which does not specifically identify any one individual. MT also collects and maintains certain customer proprietary network information (CPNI). CPNI includes the types of services you currently purchase, related usage, and billing information for those services. Your telephone number, name, and address are not CPNI. Cookies Cookies are small files containing strings of characters that many websites place on your computer to facilitate and enhance your interaction with that website. We may use cookies to customize your use of our websites and for other purposes to make your visit more convenient or to enable us to enhance our service. You can configure your web browser to stop or restrict the placement of cookies on your computer or to delete them from your computer. If you stop the placement or delete MT cookies from your computer, you may still use our website but some of its functionality may be limited. MT and our advertisers may use clear gifs, web beacons, and third-party cookies to improve website performance, provide certain features such as advertising, or to track usage anonymously of our websites and track the online activity of users. We may also use such devices in HTML-based e-mails to track their usage similar to how we track usage of our websites. Spyware Spyware means any executable software application that is installed on a user’s computer that covertly gathers and transmits PII over the Internet without the consent of the user. We do not consider cookies and web beacons to be Spyware. Spyware may gather PII, such as credit card information or e-mail addresses, or may alter the user’s computer settings. We believe that Spyware threatens a computer user’s privacy and the ability to securely communicate or conduct transactions online. Therefore, our internal policies and procedures forbid any MT employee, agent, partner, affiliate, or contractor from intentionally deploying or using Spyware on behalf of MT. Any such deployment or use will not be tolerated and will be grounds for dismissal, contract termination, and/or other forfeiture. Use of Information Unless an exception is noted in this Policy, MT will use PII only (1) to market products and services to Customers and Visitors, (2) to provide products and services requested by Customers and Visitors, and (3) to allow our vendors and service providers to assist MT in the marketing and provision of such products and services to Customers or Visitors. We will not, however, provide credit card information to any third party unless it is involved in processing payments for services that a Customer has purchased from MT. MT only works with third parties that we believe maintain high standards with respect to protecting privacy and consumer rights. MT may also use or disclose PII to investigate and help prevent potentially unlawful or fraudulent activities that threaten the integrity of our service; to investigate fraud or violations of our Terms of Service, as required by courts or administrative agencies; or in connection with a sale, merger, or reorganization of MT’s business. MT may use Non-PII as described in this Policy and may disclose Non-PII to third parties. MT will not disclose CPNI, including calling records to any third party outside of MT’s family of companies or to anyone not authorized to offer our products or services, or to perform functions on our behalf except as authorized by you or required by law. We may use your CPNI to offer additional services to you and for billing and collections purposes. We may disclose your CPNI for legal or regulatory reasons, including in response to subpoenas and court orders. We may also use CPNI to investigate fraud and to prevent violation of our Terms of Service and unlawful use of our network and services. Security MT has invested in a variety of security features to make reasonable efforts to protect the privacy of information on our network. In addition, MT has implemented internal procedures to ensure Customer and Visitor privacy is safeguarded throughout our organization. MT will implement new policies and acquire additional security features as new technologies become available. However, no system can give a 100% guarantee of security, especially a service that relies on the public Internet. Therefore, you acknowledge the risk that third parties may gain unauthorized access to your information when using our services. Privacy of Communications MT will not read, listen to, or disclose to any third parties private e-mail, conversations, or other communications that are transmitted using MT services except as required to ensure proper operation of services or as otherwise required by law. You should be aware that any PII that you voluntarily include and transmit through publicly accessible forums (e.g., chat rooms, blogs, instant messages, list services) may be viewed and used by anyone with access to such forums. MT is unable to control such uses of your PII, and by using such services you assume the risk that the PII provided by you may be viewed and used by third parties. Account Information Subject to certain security requirements, MT will do its best to honor requests from Customers for account information, including name, address, company, or billing information. You are responsible for ensuring that your information on file with MT is current and accurate. Privacy Policy Concerning Minors MT does not provide products or services for purchase by minors. MT does not knowingly solicit or collect PII from persons under the age of eighteen. If you believe that a minor has disclosed PII to MT, please report this to us. Spam Policy MT has zero tolerance for spam. Spam complaints will be dealt with seriously and can result in the loss of MT privileges. Third-Party Websites and Services Our websites may contain links to other websites and services not affiliated with or controlled by MT. In addition, other websites and services may also reference or link to MT. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our websites or surf the Internet and to read the privacy statements of each website that you visit. We do not endorse, screen, or approve, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other websites and services. MT does not assume any liability for the actions of third parties that have been provided with information as permitted by this Policy or that have collected information as permitted by this Policy (such as advertisers using third-party cookies). Opt-Out Policy If you do not want your PII used by MT for any direct marketing purposes, you may opt out of such disclosures by calling us at 1-877-70-TAPES (1-877-708-2737). However, we are not responsible for removing your PII from the lists of any third party who has previously been provided your information in accordance with this policy. Because MT must use a Customer’s PII in order to provide them with MT services, Customers cannot opt out of all uses of their PII unless they cancel their service. Changes to Policy We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove part or all of this Policy at any time by posting such changes here. You should review this policy regularly for changes and can easily see if changes have been made by checking the Effective Date below. If at any time in the future we plan to use PII in a way that differs from this Policy, we will post such changes here and provide you the opportunity to opt out of such differing uses. Your continued use following the posting of any changes to this Policy means you accept such changes. Terms of Service For Customers, this Policy is subject to the MT Terms of Service and any other agreements between you and MT.
